Houses, Townhomes and Condos in Montgomery and Prince George's
Refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges and more get repaired where they stand: in single-family houses, townhomes, condos and small businesses in Montgomery County. The technician works out what failed, tells you in plain terms, and prices the fix. Nothing is repaired until you approve that price. How a Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

Working around Montgomery County
In Montgomery County our map covers 3 service areas and 9 ZIP codes: Bethesda and Chevy Chase, Potomac, and the wide spread of Silver Spring addresses from downtown up through Wheaton, Four Corners, Colesville and Fairland. We fix household appliances and commercial kitchen equipment, and each visit starts with a diagnosis at the property and a price you approve before any work.
The southern end of Montgomery County presses against Washington, and most of it is unincorporated: Bethesda, Silver Spring, Potomac and Wheaton have no city governments, while Chevy Chase is dotted with tiny incorporated villages and towns. The housing follows the history of the suburbs. Streetcars built Chevy Chase from the 1890s, the years after World War II filled Silver Spring and Wheaton with Cape Cods, ramblers and split-levels, Potomac grew later on large lots, and the Red Line has since drawn apartment towers into downtown Bethesda and downtown Silver Spring.
Water for nearly every address comes from WSSC Water, electricity mostly from Pepco, and natural gas from Washington Gas, which is why gas ranges and dryers are common. Summers are hot and humid, with thunderstorms that can cut the power; winters bring freezes and some snow and ice.

Our service areas
Bethesda & Chevy Chase (20814, 20815, 20816, 20817): downtown condos, Chevy Chase homes and rebuilt houses. County, villages & towns; high-rises to 1900s houses.
Potomac (20854): large homes, built-in kitchens and garage refrigerators. Unincorporated; 1960s–90s homes on big lots.
Silver Spring (20901, 20902, 20904, 20910): downtown apartments and postwar Cape Cods, ramblers and split-levels. Unincorporated; postwar houses & high-rises.
From condo towers to big-lot houses
The same repair can look very different from one end of our Montgomery County map to the other. In a Bethesda or Silver Spring high-rise it involves a service elevator, a compact appliance and a building manager. In a Wheaton rambler, it's a basement, an old drain and a dryer vent at grass level. In Potomac, it might be a built-in refrigerator behind a custom panel, or an ice maker fed from a private well.
So when you book, we ask what kind of home it is and where the appliance sits. The answer decides which parts come along and how much time the visit gets.
Humid summers and storm outages
Summer is the season that shows up most in repair calls here. Garage refrigerators and freezers run without a break, basements turn damp and front-load washers start to smell, and thunderstorms bring outages; the June 2012 derecho cut power across the county for days.
Winter adds its own share: water lines along outside walls or in garages that freeze, and dryer hoods packed with snow. Neither season is extreme, but each finds the weak spots in how an appliance is set up.
Refrigerators in a hot garage
Garage refrigerators around Montgomery County have their hardest months in July and August, when a shut garage can get far hotter than the kitchen. The compressor runs nearly nonstop, the condenser fan labors, and a coil wearing a coat of dust turns a struggle into a failure.
The manual gives the range of room temperatures the model is built for. If the garage falls outside it, a garage-rated refrigerator or a cooler spot may do more good than a new part, and we'll tell you if that's the situation.
Storm outages and the food inside
Summer thunderstorms bring down lines around Montgomery County, and some outages run a day or more; the June 2012 derecho left parts of the region dark for days. Keep the refrigerator and freezer closed while it lasts. Federal food-safety guidance allows about four hours for a shut refrigerator, about 48 for a full freezer and about 24 for a half-full one.
What damages electronics is often the moment power comes back rather than the outage itself. An appliance that stays dark or throws a code afterwards can often be reset by switching its breaker off for a minute. If it doesn't recover, tell us about the outage when you book.
Stacked laundry in apartments and condos
In Montgomery County's apartment and condo buildings, laundry usually means a stacked pair or two 24-inch machines in a closet. They work, but they're less forgiving: a kinked drain hose, a flattened duct or a closet door that starves the dryer of air quickly turns into long cycles and error codes.
Pulling a stacked pair apart and setting it back in a tight closet without scraping walls or floors is routine work. When booking, give us the closet width and say whether it's two machines joined by a stacking kit or a single-frame laundry center.

Bethesda & Chevy Chase (20814, 20815, 20816, 20817); Potomac (20854); Silver Spring (20901, 20902, 20904, 20910). Addresses outside those ZIP codes are outside our service area for now.
Yes. Tell us the building's contractor rules when you book: sign-in, elevator reservations, permitted work hours and anything else management requires. If you rent, the owner or manager usually approves the repair, and the diagnosis and price go to them.
No, because a symptom doesn't identify a part. A washer that won't drain might need a sock pulled from its pump or a new pump, and those are priced nothing alike. Once the technician has diagnosed it at your home, you get an explanation and a quote, and work begins only after you approve it. If fixing it doesn't make sense, you'll hear that instead.
The manufacturer, for as long as the warranty lasts. We repair independently, without any brand's authorization, so warranty claims belong with the maker. After it expires, or when a problem falls outside its terms, book with us.
Yes, and everyday brands as well, 48 in all. Parts are matched to your model number; we fit the maker's own where they exist and name it as an equivalent when they don't.
