Blomberg Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We fix Blomberg appliances as an independent company. We aren't part of Blomberg's service network, so while your machine is still covered by the manufacturer, file the claim with Blomberg before calling anyone else. Once that coverage is behind you, Blomberg is a sensible brand to repair: the pump, the door lock, the heater and the sensors are each separate, replaceable parts, and most of the machines open from the front without being pulled far from the cabinet.
How a Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

A German name, built by Beko's parent
Blomberg dates to 1883, when it was founded in Germany. Since 2002 it has belonged to Arçelik, the Istanbul-based manufacturer best known abroad for Beko. In practice that means a Blomberg and a Beko of similar age often share a chassis and a number of components, with different trim, features and model numbers.
Americans mostly meet the brand through independent appliance dealers and kitchen designers rather than big-box stores. The dishwasher is the headline product, followed by 24-inch front-load laundry, and the catalog fills out with refrigerators, ranges, wall ovens and cooktops.
Small footprints for condos and older kitchens
Compact laundry earns its keep in the apartment and condo towers of downtown Bethesda and Silver Spring. A unit's washer often sits in a hall closet with a stacking kit, and a ventless dryer avoids the problem of running a duct through a concrete wall or into a shared shaft. In those buildings we plan around the management office: a sign-in at the desk, sometimes a reserved elevator, and a service entrance rather than the lobby.
The 24-inch kitchen pieces fit a different kind of house. A 1930s colonial in Chevy Chase or an older Hyattsville bungalow may have a narrow galley kitchen that a standard 30-inch range and a full-depth fridge would swamp, so Blomberg's slimmer models turn up in those remodels too.
What owners of American machines find surprising
Long cycles are normal. A Blomberg washer uses a small amount of water and heats it with its own element, so a cottons cycle can run well past the hour mark without anything being wrong. A condenser dryer's air also feels cooler than a vented gas dryer, because it recycles the same air through a heat exchanger.
The service points are also different. The washer's drain filter sits behind a flap at the bottom front and is meant to be opened by the owner. The dryer's condenser and water container need regular attention. The dishwasher depends on a filter cup in the tub floor. When a Blomberg misbehaves, those three places are where we start, and plenty of visits end there.
Blomberg, product by product
- Refrigerators: Slim counter-depth bottom-freezer and French-door models, some only 24 inches wide. We see warm fresh-food sections, ice on the back panel, noisy fans and water on the floor.
- Washers: Compact 24-inch front-loaders built to stack. Repairs include blocked drain filters, door locks that won't release, noisy bearings, tired shocks and failed internal heaters.
- Dryers: Ventless condenser and heat-pump dryers along with some vented models. Most calls are a lint-packed condenser, a tank-full warning, a pump that stopped or loads that stay damp.
- Dishwashers: Quiet 24-inch dishwashers with a third cutlery rack, in stainless and panel-ready styles. We handle drain pumps, heater pumps, leak-protection floats and door hinge springs.
- Ovens: Built-in wall ovens and range ovens with multiple convection modes. We replace fan motors, bake, broil and ring elements, cavity sensors, cooling fans and door gaskets.
- Microwaves: Microwaves sold as companions to Blomberg ovens, often built in. We fix units that run without heating, units that are dead after a blown fuse, bad door switches and arcing.
- Freezers: The bottom drawers of Blomberg refrigerators plus a small number of standalone units. Drawer rails, frost on food, iced coils and defrost failures make up most of the work.
- Cooktops: Sealed-burner gas cooktops and induction or radiant electric tops. Typical parts are electrodes, spark modules, induction power boards, cooling fans and replacement glass.
- Stoves: What most people call the stove: the Blomberg range that cooks dinner every night. Burners that won't catch, cold elements, a slow oven and loose knobs are the usual complaints.
- Ranges: 24- and 30-inch ranges in gas, electric and induction. Common repairs are oven igniters, convection fans, temperature sensors, bake elements and induction boards.
Getting Blomberg parts
Blomberg supports its North American appliances through its own parts and service channel, and the parts that wear most often (drain pumps, door locks, gaskets, filters and heating elements) are normally in stock for current models. The shared Arçelik engineering means a Beko part is sometimes identical, but we order against the Blomberg model and serial number and tell you plainly if something we install is an equivalent. Specialty boards can take a while, so you hear the expected wait before we order.

Blomberg Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Sometimes it is literally the same part with a different label, since both brands come from Arçelik. Sometimes it only looks the same. We look up the correct part from the Blomberg model and serial number instead of guessing from appearance.
Probably not. These machines heat a small amount of water internally and tumble gently, so long programs are by design. What does point to a fault is a cycle that restarts a stage over and over, a countdown that freezes, or a program that never ends.
The airflow and water parts are the same kind of job on both. A heat-pump model also has a small sealed refrigeration circuit, and if that is what failed, the repair is larger. We tell you which part of the dryer is at fault and what it costs before you decide.
On a dishwasher, check the side edge of the inner door or the rim of the tub. On laundry, check the frame around the door. On a refrigerator, it is on a label inside the fresh-food compartment. A phone picture of the label, sent ahead, lets us look up parts before arriving.
