Everest Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
Everest makes the everyday cold equipment of small restaurants and bars, sold through foodservice dealers. We are an independent repair company and have no relationship with Everest. The manufacturer runs its own warranty service through a network of agents, so if your unit is still inside that coverage, contact Everest or your dealer first. After it expires, a technician comes to your kitchen, tracks down the fault, and gives you a price that you approve before anything is replaced.
How a Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

Everest Appliances We Repair
What Everest makes
Everest traces its origins to a South Korean refrigeration manufacturer, and its American business is run from Southern California. The range is broad for a mid-priced brand: upright reach-ins in one to three sections, undercounters and worktops, prep tables for sandwiches, salads and pizza, refrigerated chef bases, glass-door and open-air merchandisers, thawing cabinets and dry-aging units, plus bar equipment such as back-bar and bottle coolers.
That mix fits the kitchens we visit most: independent restaurants, pizza shops, cafés and bars around downtown Bethesda and downtown Silver Spring, and along Route 1 through College Park and Hyattsville. Space is tight in those kitchens, and each cooler is expected to run flat out through every service.
The hardest-working units in the kitchen
Chef bases have the roughest life. They sit directly beneath a griddle or charbroiler and draw air from near the floor, right where grease vapor and heat collect. Their condensers foul quickly, their drawer seals get kicked, stepped on and heat-damaged, and during a busy dinner the compressor hardly rests. Prep tables come a close second, because the pan well on top loses cold air whenever a cook flips the cover open.
Then comes a Maryland summer. A kitchen line that is uncomfortable in April is punishing by August, and a condenser that was just keeping up in spring stops keeping up. A regular coil cleaning, closing prep table covers between orders and swapping out split gaskets before they fail completely head off a large share of mid-service breakdowns.
Working around your service
When you book, give us your opening hours, and if the fault permits we'll come in before prep or after the lunch push. If a cooler is already out of temperature, get the food into another unit before anything else; the product and your health inspection come first. Once the cause is found, we quote the repair, and nothing is replaced until you've said yes.
Everest, product by product
- Refrigerators: Upright reach-ins, undercounters, prep tables, chef bases and bar coolers. Condensers choked with grease, stalled fans, split drawer and door seals, controller or probe errors and overflowing drain pans are what we see.
- Freezers: Reach-in and undercounter freezers and freezer chef bases. Defrost heaters, heated drain lines, evaporator fans, controllers and the perimeter heaters around door frames account for most repairs.
Getting Everest parts
Everest parts come from commercial refrigeration supply houses and the brand's dealers, looked up by the model and serial on the unit's nameplate. Door and drawer gaskets, fan motors, controllers and probes, and hinges and closers are the everyday orders. A few components are unique to Everest cabinets, so we confirm stock and shipping time while we're in the kitchen and tell you when a compatible part is the sensible route.

Everest Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Look at the condenser coil first. When it's blanketed in grease and dust it can't shed heat, and the compressor runs without end while the box still climbs. A clean coil moves the suspicion inside the cabinet: an evaporator fan that quit, ice smothering the coil after a defrost fault, or a failing controller.
Yes. Back-bar and bottle coolers and glass-door merchandisers are refrigeration like anything else, with the same fans, coils and controls. They're often boxed into cabinetry with almost no air space, so we check the installation along with the cooler.
Usually. Repeat failures come from a cause that never went away: a coil that isn't being cleaned, a gasket that's been taped instead of replaced, or a unit jammed against a hot appliance. We explain what caused the failure and what change would stop it, so it can go into your cleaning schedule.
