Your Privacy Rights
Almost everything we know about you came from you, when you asked for a repair: a name, a phone number and email, an address, and a description of the appliance. This page explains the control you have over that information and the steps to use it.
Maryland's Online Data Privacy Act, in effect since October 1, 2025, gives Maryland residents a set of rights over personal data held by businesses that meet the law's size thresholds. We don't make you work out whether those thresholds reach us. We handle the requests below for anyone who asks, in any state, and we follow that law's response times when we do.
What you can ask for
- Confirmation and access. Whether we process your personal data, and what it is.
- A list of recipients. The categories of outside companies we have given it to (see the Privacy Policy for the current list).
- Correction. Fixing anything wrong, such as an old number, a typo in your name or the wrong service address.
- Deletion. Erasing your information. Invoices and similar records may need to be kept for tax, accounting or legal reasons; if so, our reply names them.
- A portable copy. The data you gave us, in a common electronic format you can open or move elsewhere.
- Opt-outs. Saying no to the sale of your data, to targeted advertising, and to profiling used for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. We don't do any of these, but you can still record the opt-out on the Do Not Sell or Share page.
- Withdrawing consent. Taking back permission you gave, for example to receive texts. Replying STOP to any of our texts does this on its own.
Using any of these rights will never change the price you pay or the service you get.
Making a request
Contact us by phone, email or mail using the details below and say what you would like us to do. We have to be reasonably confident the request is really from you before releasing or changing anything, so we normally compare it with the contact details already in our records and may ask one or two questions. Someone else can make the request for you if you give them signed, written authorization.
There is no charge. We reply within 45 days. If a request genuinely needs longer, we can extend that once by up to another 45 days, and in that case you hear from us, with the reason, before the first 45 days run out.

Appealing our decision
If we turn down all or part of a request, our reply gives the reason. You can appeal by answering that reply, or by contacting us again, and saying you want it reconsidered. We look at it again from the start and send you a written decision within 60 days, with our reasons.
If the appeal is denied, you can complain to the Consumer Protection Division of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, which enforces the state's privacy law. Complaints can be filed through its consumer complaint portal.
