Two counties, four areas

In Montgomery County we cover three areas. Bethesda & Chevy Chase takes in ZIPs 20814 through 20817, from the high-rises near the Bethesda Metro station to the older residential streets of Chevy Chase. Potomac is ZIP 20854. Silver Spring covers 20901, 20902, 20904 and 20910, which reaches well beyond downtown to Four Corners, Wheaton, Glenmont, Colesville, White Oak and Fairland.

In Prince George's County, our one area is College Park & Hyattsville: ZIP 20740, which includes College Park and neighboring Berwyn Heights, and ZIP 20781, which covers part of Hyattsville along with Edmonston. The county pages for Montgomery County and Prince George's County give an overview of each.

Why the ZIP code decides

Mailing names here don't line up neatly with places. A Silver Spring address might be in Wheaton, Kemp Mill or Colesville. Bethesda, Silver Spring and Potomac aren't incorporated cities at all; they are unincorporated communities governed by the county, while Chevy Chase is a patchwork of small incorporated towns and villages alongside unincorporated streets. College Park and Hyattsville are incorporated cities, but Hyattsville spreads across more than one ZIP, and we cover only the 20781 part of it.

So rather than guess from the town name, enter your ZIP in the search box above. The search takes you to your ZIP's own page, with notes on local housing, and from there you can reach a repair page for each type of appliance.

If your ZIP isn't listed

Then we don't currently schedule visits there. That includes places close by, such as other parts of Montgomery County and the rest of Prince George's. We'd rather be upfront than book a visit we can't keep. If you aren't sure whether your address qualifies, call and ask; we'll give you a straight answer.

Details that help on the day

Downtown Bethesda and downtown Silver Spring have metered and permit parking, and many apartment garages have height limits a service van can't clear. If your building wants elevator time reserved, check-in at a front desk, or deliveries through a loading dock, tell us when you book. In a house, mention a steep or narrow stairway to the basement laundry, or a side door that's easier than the front.

Wherever you are on the list, the visit itself is the same: the technician tests the appliance, tells you what broke and prices the fix, and nothing is done without your approval. A photo of the model-number label sent with your booking lets us check parts before arriving.
