Vulcan stove repair
Vulcan Stove Repair in Maryland
We repair Vulcan stoves at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Open-burner range tops on Vulcan restaurant ranges. Pilots going out, clogged burner heads and weak or yellow flames are what cooks report.
Booking online works too. With the Vulcan stove's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Vulcan Stove Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Vulcan service center, and not authorized by Vulcan. If your stove is still inside the Vulcan warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Stove Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Vulcan builds its stoves
On a Vulcan open-burner top, each standing pilot usually serves one or two burners through a flash tube, a small channel that carries flame from the pilot to the burner when the valve opens. If a pilot is out or its flame is too small, the burners it serves won't light, or light with a pop. Hood drafts, a back door propped open in summer, and grease dripping into the pilot's opening all put pilots out. Over months, the burner heads themselves crust over, and the flame turns soft, yellow and ragged. Each burner also has an air shutter that sets the gas-to-air mix, and if one gets knocked, the flame changes. A proper service cleans the pilots and heads, resets the shutters, and measures gas pressure if the flame still isn't right.
Parts that tend to fail on Vulcan stoves
- Pilot out, burners won't light
- Flash tube blocked with grease
- Lazy yellow flame from dirty heads
- Air shutter knocked out of position
- Low gas pressure starving the burners
Checks you can safely make before booking are on the stove repair page for all brands.

Vulcan Stove Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Burners are often paired to a single pilot, so if that pilot is out or clogged, both burners stop lighting. Relighting may work for a while; if it keeps going out, the pilot orifice needs cleaning and the flash tube should be checked.
A yellow flame means too little air in the mix. The air shutter may have been bumped, or the burner head is dirty. Cleaning the burner and setting the shutter for a steady blue flame usually fixes it.
