Kenmore stove repair
Kenmore Stove Repair in Maryland
We repair Kenmore stoves at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Freestanding Kenmore gas and electric stoves, common in rentals and original kitchens. Oven igniters, bake elements, surface ignition and burned coil sockets come up again and again.
Booking online works too. With the Kenmore stove's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Kenmore Stove Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Kenmore service center, and not authorized by Kenmore. If your stove is still inside the Kenmore warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Stove Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
What's inside a Kenmore stove
The typical Kenmore stove is a plain freestanding range, gas or electric, the kind found in rentals and original kitchens from Silver Spring to Hyattsville, and Frigidaire supplied a lot of them. On gas models, the oven igniter wears out with use, and top burners fail to light after spills or when caps are set back crooked. Electric coil stoves burn out their receptacle blocks and split their bake elements. If the anti-tip bracket went missing during a floor replacement or a move, it should go back in. In an older house, a stove that trips its breaker or shows no power at all may have a problem at the outlet, the cord or the circuit rather than inside the stove.
Parts that tend to fail on Kenmore stoves
- Oven igniter drawing too little current
- Top burner not lighting after a spill
- Coil receptacle block burned
- Bake element cracked
- Cord or outlet damaged
Checks you can safely make before booking are on the stove repair page for all brands.

Kenmore Stove Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
The burners and oven are separate systems. A weak oven igniter that glows but can't open the gas valve is the usual cause. We measure its current, and only if it passes do we move on to the valve.
It can be either. Check both breakers for the range circuit first. If they are fine, a burned cord, a loose connection where the cord meets the stove or a failed outlet is possible, as well as an internal fault. We test the stove and let you know if the fault is in the house wiring, which an electrician would handle.
