Viking stove repair
Viking Stove Repair in Maryland
We repair Viking stoves at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Freestanding pro-style gas ranges from 30 to 60 inches wide. SureSpark switches, electrodes, caps and ports, oven igniters and stiff valves are the everyday repairs.
Booking online works too. With the Viking stove's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Viking Stove Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Viking service center, and not authorized by Viking. If your stove is still inside the Viking warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Stove Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Viking builds its stoves
When a Viking freestanding range is simply the family stove, most of the calls are about the burners. Clicking that won't stop, a burner that won't catch, or a flame that looks tired and yellow-tipped are the usual complaints. The cause is often simple: a cap sitting a few millimeters off its base, ports packed with dried food, a cracked ceramic electrode, or a spark switch that took on water from a spill. Valves seldom fail, though a knob that has become stiff can mean one is wearing. The oven's glow-bar igniter weakens gradually and eventually stops opening the valve. If nothing sparks at all, check power first, since the ignition needs electricity, and an old outlet behind the stove can fail.
Parts that tend to fail on Viking stoves
- Wet spark switch clicking
- Cap off its base, flame lazy
- Electrode cracked, no spark
- Oven glow-bar weakening
- Burner valve stiff and hard to turn
Our stove repair guide covers the problems every manufacturer shares.

Viking Stove Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Mostly blue with a little yellow at the tips is normal. Lots of yellow, soot on pans or a lifting flame usually means a cap out of place, clogged ports or an air-gas adjustment issue. Clean and reseat the burners first. If it persists, we check the burner and valve.
Power. The spark module runs on electricity, so we check the breaker, the outlet and the cord before anything else. If power is there, the module and the switches are tested.
