Avanti Stove Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Avanti service center, and not authorized by Avanti. If your stove is still inside the Avanti warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Stove Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

What's inside an Avanti stove

In a basement apartment, an in-law suite or a small condo, an Avanti stove may be the only cooking appliance, and it gets used hard by whoever lives there that year. The complaints are rarely exotic. A burner clicks and never catches, the oven takes too long to heat, a knob spins freely on its stem, or the door no longer closes square after someone leaned on it. Gas models get their spark ignition, burner ports and oven igniter checked. On electric ones we meter the coils, the sockets they plug into and the burner switches. We also take a look at the connection: a gas flex line or a heavy cord that has been dragged during move-outs deserves a second glance.

Parts that tend to fail on Avanti stoves

  • Knob stripped and turning freely
  • Top burner sparking without a flame
  • Oven slow to reach temperature
  • Coil receptacle burned through
  • Oven door hinge bent out of line

For causes that aren't brand-specific, read how we diagnose a stove.

FAQ

Avanti Stove Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Usually it is the knob, whose flat-sided socket wears round. A new knob matched to the model fixes it. If the stem on the valve or switch has snapped, that part is replaced instead. We check which before ordering, since the valve is a larger repair.

An older flexible connector that has been bent repeatedly, kinked or disturbed during a move is worth replacing, and old uncoated brass connectors are something to take seriously. If we pull the stove out, we look at the connector and leak-test any fitting we disturb.
