KitchenAid stove repair
KitchenAid Stove Repair in Maryland
We repair KitchenAid stoves at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. The basic freestanding KitchenAid range that a household simply calls the stove. Gas igniters, lower elements, burner sparking and oven probes lead the list.
Booking online works too. With the KitchenAid stove's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
KitchenAid Stove Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a KitchenAid service center, and not authorized by KitchenAid. If your stove is still inside the KitchenAid warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Stove Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How KitchenAid builds its stoves
KitchenAid's freestanding range is the plainest thing it sells, and it fails in plain ways. The gas version lights its oven with a glow-bar igniter. As that igniter ages it keeps glowing but stops drawing enough current to open the valve, so preheating stretches out and eventually never finishes. Burners on top spark through electrodes wired to switches behind each knob. The electric version bakes and broils with exposed or hidden elements and heats the cooktop through radiant zones under glass. An oven probe that has drifted twenty-odd degrees ruins cakes without showing any error. We check the outlet, the gas shutoff and the anti-tip bracket before suspecting the control, since a loose connection in an older kitchen can mimic a board fault.
Parts that tend to fail on KitchenAid stoves
- Oven igniter weakened
- Bake element shorted
- Surface burner not sparking
- Oven sensor drifting
- Radiant glass-top element open

KitchenAid Stove Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
The glow-bar igniter is the usual suspect. The valve waits until the igniter draws enough current, and a tired igniter never quite gets there. We measure its draw before replacing it, which keeps us from swapping a valve that's fine.
On many models the glass comes as a complete top assembly. We price the part for your model and weigh it against the cost of a new stove. Until it's fixed, avoid cooking on cracked glass.
