Roper Stove Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Roper service center, and not authorized by Roper. If your stove is still inside the Roper warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Stove Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

What's inside a Roper stove

Roper stoves get their hardest use up top, so that's where the calls start. Think of each electric burner as a chain of three links: the knob's switch, the socket, and the coil. A burner stuck at full blast breaks at the switch, since that switch is what pulses power to make low and medium settings. A burner that's completely dead can be any of the three, and swapping in a coil from a working spot is a quick home test. Gas tops are a different chain: gas valve, spark switch, spark module, igniter, burner cap. Spilled pasta water is the usual saboteur there, soaking an igniter or a switch so the burner clicks without lighting. We test each link, because a good coil in a scorched socket can pass for a failed switch.

Parts that tend to fail on Roper stoves

  • Burner stuck on high, won't turn down
  • Coil dead in a working receptacle
  • Receptacle scorched and loose
  • Spark module ticking nonstop
  • Igniter wet after a spill

Our stove repair guide covers the problems every manufacturer shares.

FAQ

Roper Stove Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Lower settings come from a switch that turns the power on and off in short bursts. When its contacts fail, the burner can end up with full power or none. Replacing that burner's switch restores the settings.

Usually, for common parts like coils, switches, receptacles and igniters, which are inexpensive and widely available. If the oven and cooktop both need major work, a new basic range may be the better choice, and we'll say so.
