LG stove repair
LG Stove Repair in Maryland
We repair LG stoves at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Basic freestanding gas and electric LG stoves, common in rentals. Weak oven igniters, clicking burners, bake elements, infinite switches and oven sensors fail most.
Booking online works too. With the LG stove's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
LG Stove Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a LG service center, and not authorized by LG. If your stove is still inside the LG warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Stove Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How LG builds its stoves
Plain freestanding LG stoves, gas or electric with a single oven, are common in rental houses and apartments, including the student rentals around College Park. Gas ovens light with a hot-surface igniter wired in series with the safety valve; an aging igniter still glows orange but can't pull the current the valve needs, so no gas flows. Surface burners that click without catching are usually wet or crusted at the electrode. Electric models use coil or smoothtop elements, a hidden or exposed bake element, and infinite switches that can fail stuck on high. When a gas stove is pulled out, the flexible connector and shutoff behind it get a look, and every fitting that was disturbed is leak-tested.
Parts that tend to fail on LG stoves
- Oven igniter glowing but no flame
- Surface burner clicking constantly
- Hidden bake element failed
- Infinite switch stuck on high
- Oven sensor misreading

LG Stove Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
A faint whiff at ignition can happen, but a slow, smelly light usually means a worn igniter, and it should be fixed soon. A strong gas smell is different: leave the house and call Washington Gas or 911 from outside.
That depends on your lease, so check it or ask your landlord. We can schedule with either of you, and the quote goes to whoever approves the work.
