AGA stove repair
AGA Stove Repair in Maryland
We repair AGA stoves at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. The whole AGA as owners live with it: a cooker gradually losing heat, a gas flame that soots or flickers, or an electric model slow to come up to temperature.
Booking online works too. With the AGA stove's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
AGA Stove Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a AGA service center, and not authorized by AGA. If your stove is still inside the AGA warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Stove Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How AGA builds its stoves
Owners usually just say the AGA, and the calls tend to be about the cooker as a whole. Over a few weeks it stops getting as hot. The gas flame has turned yellow or lazy. There's a dusting of soot or a faint smell. An electric cooker now needs much longer to heat up after being turned down. On a gas model, the burner, the flue and the thermostat are one system, so a dirty burner or a partly blocked flue shows up as poor heat, soot or both. Electric cookers come down to their elements and switching. Since the cooker never really shuts off, faults grow slowly, and people often compensate for months before they notice.
Parts that tend to fail on AGA stoves
- Whole cooker running cooler
- Gas burner sooting or unstable
- Flue draft weak
- Electric element failing
- Thermostat not controlling heat
Our stove repair guide covers the problems every manufacturer shares.

AGA Stove Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
It can be, because soot and fumes suggest incomplete combustion or a flue that isn't drawing. Switch the cooker off and ventilate. If there's any gas smell, get everyone out and call Washington Gas or 911 from outside. Once it's been made safe, the burner and flue need a proper inspection.
Most models allow a reduced setting, and the controllable ones can shut whole sections off. How that's done varies from cooker to cooker, and the manual covers yours. If you like, we'll go over the controls with you during the visit.
