Maytag Stove Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Maytag service center, and not authorized by Maytag. If your stove is still inside the Maytag warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Stove Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Maytag builds its stoves

The freestanding Maytag stove, gas or electric with its controls on a back panel, is the workhorse of many older kitchens and rental units. On gas models, the most common oven problem is a weak hot-surface igniter: it glows, but it can't pull enough current to open the gas valve, so the oven never lights or lights late. Electric models lose bake elements, which blister and split, and surface elements, whose receptacles can scorch where the terminals plug in. An infinite switch can fail on one burner. An oven that runs hot or cold usually has a sensor or thermostat problem. If a coil element sparked, the receptacle often has to be replaced along with the coil.

Parts that tend to fail on Maytag stoves

  • Weak oven igniter, glow without flame
  • Bake element blistered and open
  • Surface receptacle scorched
  • Infinite switch dead on one burner
  • Oven temperature running off

FAQ

Maytag Stove Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Usually. An igniter can glow while still drawing too little current to open the valve. We measure it and replace it if it's weak. If the igniter tests fine, the valve is next.

Often the receptacle it plugs into was damaged too, since arcing burns the contacts. Putting a new element into a scorched receptacle leads to the same failure. We check the receptacle and the wiring and replace what's burned.
