Thor Kitchen Microwave Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Thor Kitchen service center, and not authorized by Thor Kitchen. If your microwave is still inside the Thor Kitchen warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Microwave Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Thor Kitchen builds its microwaves

Thor sells microwave drawers and built-in microwaves. When the drawer sticks shut or halts halfway, the cause is usually a problem with the drawer motor, its gear or track, or something jammed behind it. A unit that runs without heating has a high-voltage fault, most often the magnetron or the diode. A door or drawer switch that fails can stop the unit completely. The control panel can stop responding.

Parts that tend to fail on Thor Kitchen microwaves

  • Drawer won't open
  • Drawer stops partway
  • Runs but no heat
  • Door or drawer switch failed
  • Control panel unresponsive

Checks you can safely make before booking are on the microwave repair page for all brands.

Thor Kitchen Microwave Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Usually. Check that nothing is jammed behind the drawer. If it still won't open, the drawer motor, gear or its switches may have failed. We test them and replace what's needed.

Usually the magnetron or high-voltage diode. We test the high-voltage parts, find the failed one and quote the repair.
