Samsung Microwave Repair in Maryland

We repair Samsung microwaves at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Over-the-range Samsung microwaves that double as the vent hood, plus countertop models. No-heat faults, door switches, keypads, vent fans and turntable motors account for most repairs.

Samsung Microwave Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Samsung service center, and not authorized by Samsung. If your microwave is still inside the Samsung warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Microwave Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Samsung builds its microwaves

Most Samsung microwaves in local kitchens are over-the-range units that also act as the vent hood, with a fan, a light and grease filters on the underside. When one runs, lights and turns the plate but leaves food cold, the fault lies in the high-voltage section: magnetron, diode, capacitor or a thermal cutout. The capacitor can hold a lethal charge after the plug is pulled, so these parts are not for home testing. Door switches wear with every opening and can blow the main fuse when they fail out of sequence. Keypads tend to lose one or two buttons first. An over-the-range model is held by bolts through the cabinet above and a wall plate, so taking one down is a two-person job, and in a condo the cabinet may be tight against a soffit.

Parts that tend to fail on Samsung microwaves

  • Magnetron or high-voltage diode, no heat
  • Door interlock switch blowing the fuse
  • Keypad buttons dead one by one
  • Vent fan motor rattling or stopped
  • Turntable drive motor not turning

Checks you can safely make before booking are on the microwave repair page for all brands.

FAQ

Samsung Microwave Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Often yes, because a replacement over-the-range unit also means removing the old one and mounting a new hood. A magnetron, diode or capacitor is a standard repair. A cheap countertop model is a different case, and we will say if replacing it makes more sense.

Usually not. Many over-the-range microwaves have a heat sensor that starts the fan automatically when the cooktop below gets hot, to protect the electronics. If the fan runs constantly with the range off, the sensor or control should be checked.
