Gaggenau Microwave Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Gaggenau service center, and not authorized by Gaggenau. If your microwave is still inside the Gaggenau warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Microwave Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Gaggenau builds its microwaves

Gaggenau microwaves are always built in: a standalone microwave in the oven column, or a combination unit that adds convection. Inside, the microwave section is conventional. A transformer, capacitor and diode feed the magnetron, and a set of door switches keeps it from running unless the door is shut properly. The combination models add a heating element and fan, run warmer, and lean harder on their cooling fans and boards. On side-hinged models, the door's weight sits on its hinges, and a door that has dropped slightly can trip the switches out of order and blow the fuse. Because the unit is built for one opening and styled with the ovens around it, repair nearly always beats swapping it out.

Parts that tend to fail on Gaggenau microwaves

  • Magnetron or diode failed
  • Door interlock switch fault
  • Convection element or fan failed
  • Cooling fan not running
  • Control panel not responding

Checks you can safely make before booking are on the microwave repair page for all brands.

FAQ

Gaggenau Microwave Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Power is getting as far as the transformer, which is the hum, but nothing is being generated past it. The magnetron, diode or capacitor is usually to blame. The capacitor is drained safely, then each is tested.

Sometimes it will physically fit, but the opening, the trim and the look of the column rarely line up. Fixing the Gaggenau is usually the better route. If its parts are no longer made, we'll say so and go over what else could work.
