JennAir Microwave Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a JennAir service center, and not authorized by JennAir. If your microwave is still inside the JennAir warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Microwave Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How JennAir builds its microwaves
JennAir makes microwaves in four forms: built-in, over-the-range, drawer and speed oven. Whatever the shape, the cooking side is the same core: a magnetron powered through a transformer, capacitor and diode, with interlock switches in the door that cut power the moment it opens. Drawers bring their own weak point, the motorized slide that opens and closes them, where crumbs and wear eventually cause trouble. Speed ovens add convection heat, so they run hotter and lean harder on their cooling fans. An over-the-range model also serves as the range hood, which means its blower, damper and grease filters need as much attention as the magnetron.
Parts that tend to fail on JennAir microwaves
- Magnetron failed, no heat
- Door interlock switch fault
- Drawer mechanism jammed
- Convection element or fan failed
- Vent fan motor failing

JennAir Microwave Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
In a speed oven the microwave and convection systems share a cavity but not their heat sources. If the magnetron, diode or one of the door interlocks fails, microwave heating stops while the convection heater keeps working.
Usually crumbs or a dropped utensil in the track, a gear with stripped teeth or a motor losing strength. We clean the track, check the gears and sensors and replace whatever has failed.
