Amana Microwave Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Amana service center, and not authorized by Amana. If your microwave is still inside the Amana warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Microwave Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

What's inside an Amana microwave

The Radarange made Amana one of the first names in home microwaves; today the brand sells over-the-range and countertop models. They fail the usual ways. A worn door switch can blow the main fuse. A shorted high-voltage diode or a failed capacitor stops heating, and a magnetron can fail with age. The turntable motor stops, and on over-the-range models the vent fan gets noisy. A countertop Amana is inexpensive enough that a major repair rarely makes sense, and we'll say so.

Parts that tend to fail on Amana microwaves

  • Door switch failing
  • High-voltage diode or capacitor failed
  • Magnetron no longer heating
  • Turntable motor stopped
  • Vent fan noisy

Checks you can safely make before booking are on the microwave repair page for all brands.

Amana Microwave Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Usually only for a small repair like a door switch or fuse. For a magnetron on an inexpensive countertop model, replacing it often costs about as much. We tell you before any work.

Often. The main fuse usually blew because of a door switch. We test the switches, the fuse and the high-voltage parts, and quote the repair, which usually beats taking down and replacing a wall-mounted unit.
