Electrolux Microwave Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Electrolux service center, and not authorized by Electrolux. If your microwave is still inside the Electrolux warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Microwave Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Electrolux builds its microwaves

Electrolux microwaves come as over-the-range units that double as a range hood, built-ins that sit in a wall stack or combination with a wall oven, and drawer models under a counter or island. Inside, they all heat the same way, with a magnetron fed by a transformer, capacitor and diode, and the door has several interlock switches that have to agree before any power flows. So when the plate turns and the food stays cold, the suspect list is short. Hood models also carry a blower, filters and cooktop lights; drawer models carry the motor and rails that move the drawer. That capacitor can stay charged long after unplugging, and we drain it before testing anything inside.

Parts that tend to fail on Electrolux microwaves

  • Magnetron not producing heat
  • Door interlock switch out of sequence
  • Turntable motor stalled
  • Vent fan motor grinding
  • Drawer motor not opening

Electrolux Microwave Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Something may be catching in the track, such as crumbs or a utensil that fell behind. If the track is clear, the drawer motor, gears or position sensors may have failed. We inspect the mechanism before replacing parts.

Usually. Either the membrane keypad or the control board has failed, and they are often separate parts. We test the keypad circuits to see which one needs replacing.
