Hotpoint microwave repair
Hotpoint Microwave Repair in Maryland
We repair Hotpoint microwaves at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Over-the-range and countertop models. Door switches, fuses, magnetrons, high-voltage diodes and vent fan motors are the common repairs.
Booking online works too. With the Hotpoint microwave's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Hotpoint Microwave Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Hotpoint service center, and not authorized by Hotpoint. If your microwave is still inside the Hotpoint warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Microwave Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
What's inside a Hotpoint microwave
Hotpoint microwaves are over-the-range and countertop models. A worn door switch can blow the main fuse and leave the unit dead. A magnetron or a high-voltage diode that fails kills the heat even though the lamp stays on and the plate still turns. On over-the-range models, the vent fan motor wears out. The touchpad can stop responding. A countertop Hotpoint is usually not worth a major repair, but an over-the-range unit often is, since replacing it means removing and remounting it.
Parts that tend to fail on Hotpoint microwaves
- Magnetron failed, no heat
- Door switch blowing the fuse
- High-voltage diode shorted
- Vent fan motor failing
- Touchpad not responding
Checks you can safely make before booking are on the microwave repair page for all brands.

Hotpoint Microwave Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
On a countertop model, a magnetron repair can cost close to a new one, so replacement is often better. On an over-the-range model, repair usually makes more sense. We test and quote so you can compare.
Opening the door works the interlock switches, and one of them likely shorted and took out the fuse. We check each interlock as well as the fuse, since changing only the fuse leaves the cause in place.
