Kenmore microwave repair
Kenmore Microwave Repair in Maryland
We repair Kenmore microwaves at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Over-the-range and countertop Kenmore microwaves from outside suppliers. Units that hum without heating, failed door switches, weak vent fans and stalled turntables.
Booking online works too. With the Kenmore microwave's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Kenmore Microwave Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Kenmore service center, and not authorized by Kenmore. If your microwave is still inside the Kenmore warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Microwave Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
What's inside a Kenmore microwave
Kenmore microwaves have been made by outside suppliers, LG among them, so the tag is the first thing we read. Over-the-range models are two appliances in one: a microwave with a magnetron and high-voltage circuit, and a range hood with a vent fan, lights and grease filters. The common complaints are a unit that spins and hums while food stays cold, which traces to a door switch, diode, capacitor or magnetron, a turntable that stopped turning, and a vent fan that is loud or dead. The high-voltage capacitor holds a charge after unplugging, so it is discharged before any testing. Over-the-range units are heavy and awkward to lift down, and that labor is part of the repair-or-replace math we go through with you.
Parts that tend to fail on Kenmore microwaves
- Door interlock switch failing
- Magnetron no longer heating
- High-voltage diode shorted
- Turntable motor stopped
- Hood vent fan noisy or dead
Our microwave repair guide covers the problems every manufacturer shares.

Kenmore Microwave Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Usually. The vent motor is a separate part, and a grinding or dead fan can be replaced on its own. Sometimes the fan is fine and the control or its fan relay is the issue. We test both before quoting.
It depends on what failed. A fuse, door switch or turntable motor is normally worth replacing. If the magnetron or main control is what died on a unit that age, the bill gets close to a new microwave plus installation, and we lay both options out.
