Frigidaire Microwave Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Frigidaire service center, and not authorized by Frigidaire. If your microwave is still inside the Frigidaire warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Microwave Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Frigidaire builds its microwaves

Frigidaire sells over-the-range microwaves that double as the range hood, plus countertop and built-in models. When one runs without heating, the capacitor is drained first and then the high-voltage parts are checked one by one. Door switches wear out, and when one fails it can take the main fuse with it, so nothing lights up at all. Over-the-range vent fans wear and rattle, turntable motors stall, and keypads lose certain buttons as the membrane fails. Because a new Frigidaire microwave is not expensive, the repair price gets compared with replacement before you decide, and over-the-range models tip that math toward repair more often, since swapping one means remounting.

Parts that tend to fail on Frigidaire microwaves

  • Magnetron failed
  • Interlock switch blown
  • Vent fan motor worn
  • Turntable motor stopped
  • Keypad membrane failing

Faults that show up whatever the brand are explained in our microwave repair overview.

Frigidaire Microwave Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

That comes down to the failed part and how old the microwave is. A bad diode or switch is a modest fix; a magnetron in an older unit can make a new one the smarter buy. We diagnose first and give you both numbers.

A door interlock switch probably failed and blew the main fuse. We replace the fuse and the switches as a set and test them so the fuse doesn't blow again.
