Viking microwave repair
Viking Microwave Repair in Maryland
We repair Viking microwaves at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Built-in, convection and drawer-style microwaves. Drawer drives, interlock switches, magnetrons, touch controls and trim kits are the usual concerns.
Booking online works too. With the Viking microwave's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Viking Microwave Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Viking service center, and not authorized by Viking. If your microwave is still inside the Viking warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Microwave Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Viking builds its microwaves
A Viking microwave is almost always built in, either as a drawer under the counter or as a microwave or convection microwave in a wall oven stack with a trim kit. With drawer models, the complaint is often mechanical. The drawer stops halfway, won't close or reverses on its own, and the culprit is usually the drive motor, the gears or something wedged in the track. Units that light up and turn but never warm food usually have a failed interlock switch, and less often a bad magnetron, diode or capacitor. The capacitor can store a dangerous charge even after power is off, so we discharge it before any test. Years of steam can also leave touch controls unresponsive.
Parts that tend to fail on Viking microwaves
- Drawer drive motor or gears failed
- Door interlock switch worn
- Magnetron dead
- Diode shorted
- Touch controls unresponsive after steam
Checks you can safely make before booking are on the microwave repair page for all brands.

Viking Microwave Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
The drawer relies on position switches and a motor. If a switch misreads or something sits in the track, the drawer reverses. We clear the track, then test the switches and motor before ordering anything.
Often. A replacement has to fit the same opening and trim kit, which limits your choices. Interlocks, drawer parts and magnetrons are routine repairs. We quote so you can compare.
