JennAir refrigerator repair
JennAir Refrigerator Repair in Maryland
We repair JennAir refrigerators at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Built-in French-door, side-by-side and column refrigerators, many with custom panels. We see ice makers that quit, dripping water valves, frozen fans, failed defrost parts, dusty top condensers and doors that sag.
Booking online works too. With the JennAir refrigerator's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
JennAir Refrigerator Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a JennAir service center, and not authorized by JennAir. If your refrigerator is still inside the JennAir warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Refrigerator Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How JennAir builds its refrigerators
A JennAir built-in refrigerator uses Whirlpool-engineered cooling, but it lives in a very different body. It sits flush with the cabinets, the doors often carry heavy wood panels, and on many models the compressor and condenser are up top behind a grille instead of down at the floor. Heat rises into that top compartment and so does household dust, which is why a condenser cleaning is part of almost every visit we make to one. The breakdowns we see most are ice makers that stop, water valves that stick or drip, and an evaporator fan that gets locked in ice after the defrost heater fails. Temperature is managed by thermistors and a control board, not a dial. Heavy doors eventually sag on their hinges, and a door that no longer seals lets humid Maryland summer air in, causing frost inside and sweating along the trim.
Parts that tend to fail on JennAir refrigerators
- Top condenser clogged with dust
- Ice maker stopped producing
- Water inlet valve failed
- Evaporator fan frozen in frost
- Heavy door hinge out of adjustment

JennAir Refrigerator Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Most often the door isn't sealing fully, so warm humid air meets cold surfaces. A heavy panel can pull a door out of adjustment, and some models also use a heater along the cabinet edge to prevent sweating. We adjust the hinge, check the gasket and test that heater where your model has one.
Often, yes. Shut the power off, take the upper grille off the way your manual shows, and brush and vacuum the fins gently since they bend easily. If the compressor still seems to run all day afterward, a fan, sensor or seal issue needs testing.
