KitchenAid refrigerator repair
KitchenAid Refrigerator Repair in Maryland
We repair KitchenAid refrigerators at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. French-door, counter-depth, side-by-side and built-in models with the machine compartment on top. Ice makers, fans, defrost parts and water valves are frequent work.
Booking online works too. With the KitchenAid refrigerator's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
KitchenAid Refrigerator Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a KitchenAid service center, and not authorized by KitchenAid. If your refrigerator is still inside the KitchenAid warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Refrigerator Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How KitchenAid builds its refrigerators
Two designs share the KitchenAid refrigerator label, and they are serviced differently. Freestanding French-door and side-by-side models sit on Whirlpool platforms, which means the valve, the ice maker and the fan motors are the same parts a Whirlpool uses. Built-in models turn the layout upside down. The compressor, condenser and condenser fan sit in a compartment above the doors, reached from the front by removing the top grille. On those, a warm cabinet often comes down to dust on the condenser or a stalled fan up top. Both types defrost automatically, and when that circuit quits, the coil packs with ice and airflow stops. A few models have dual evaporators or special temperature-controlled drawers, which change the order of testing.
Parts that tend to fail on KitchenAid refrigerators
- Ice maker not producing
- Condenser fan stopped above the doors
- Coil iced from a defrost failure
- Water valve dripping
- Hinge-side gasket split

KitchenAid Refrigerator Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Heat from the compressor isn't getting out. The condenser up there may be clogged with dust, or the condenser fan may have stopped. Cleaning the coil and testing the fan are the first steps, and both are done from the front.
Rarely. The machine compartment is on top and reached from the front, and most fan, valve, defrost and control repairs happen in place. Pulling it out is only needed for a few sealed-system or water-line jobs.
