Electrolux refrigerator repair
Electrolux Refrigerator Repair in Maryland
We repair Electrolux refrigerators at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. French-door, counter-depth and side-by-side refrigerators, plus ICON built-in columns. Door ice compartments that frost up, jammed augers, fan noise, defrost faults and dispenser leaks lead the list.
Booking online works too. With the Electrolux refrigerator's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Electrolux Refrigerator Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Electrolux service center, and not authorized by Electrolux. If your refrigerator is still inside the Electrolux warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Refrigerator Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Electrolux builds its refrigerators
Most Electrolux French-door refrigerators make ice in an insulated box on the left fresh-food door. The box gets its cold from the freezer, delivered through a duct that lines up with an opening in the cabinet wall when the door closes, and a gasket at that meeting point keeps warm air out. When that gasket or the little compartment door leaks, warm humid air gets in, ice melts and refreezes, the auger jams and frost builds on the compartment walls. Humid summers make any leak show up sooner. Behind the freezer's rear panel, the cooling system follows the usual frost-free design with an evaporator coil, a fan and a defrost heater, and a defrost failure shows up first as a warm fresh-food side. ICON columns have their own separate sealed systems and controls. We read the frost pattern and take air temperatures in each section before deciding which part failed.
Parts that tend to fail on Electrolux refrigerators
- Door ice compartment frosting over
- Auger jammed by clumped ice
- Defrost heater or its thermostat failed
- Evaporator fan ticking against frost
- Dispenser water line leaking at the door

Electrolux Refrigerator Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
A solid block means ice is melting and refreezing, usually because the ice compartment door or its gasket isn't sealing, or cold air from the freezer duct isn't arriving. Empty and thaw the bin, then check that the compartment door closes firmly. If it keeps happening, we test the seals, the duct and the fan that feeds it.
That cycling often points to a defrost problem. Frost slowly blocks the coil, the fresh-food side warms, and then a partial defrost clears it again. A heater, defrost thermostat or control that works only some of the time behaves that way. We check the coil and test the defrost parts.
