LG Refrigerator Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a LG service center, and not authorized by LG. If your refrigerator is still inside the LG warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Refrigerator Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How LG builds its refrigerators

Every current LG refrigerator uses an inverter compressor, and many French-door models use the linear version, which moves its piston magnetically instead of with a crankshaft. When the cabinet warms, though, the compressor is only one suspect among several, alongside its inverter board, the fans and the defrost system, and the smaller parts fail more often. LG displays help: Er FF flags the freezer fan, Er IF the fan that serves the door ice maker, Er dH the defrost heater circuit. The door ice maker is its own weak point. Its compartment frosts, the fan freezes, and cubes weld into a block in the bin. We measure temperatures and test the fans and defrost circuit first. If the compressor is at fault, check LG's coverage before paying for it.

Parts that tend to fail on LG refrigerators

  • Ice compartment frosted over
  • Freezer fan frozen (Er FF)
  • Defrost heater circuit open (Er dH)
  • Linear compressor not starting
  • Water inlet valve dripping

FAQ

LG Refrigerator Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Not necessarily. A frozen fan or a defrost failure gives the same warm cabinet and costs far less to fix. We test the fans, the coil and the compressor's operation before deciding, and if it is the compressor, we'll point you to LG's extended coverage first.

It concerns the small fan that blows cold air into the ice compartment on the fresh-food door. Most of the time the fan is locked in ice rather than burned out. We melt the ice, test the fan and find out why frost is forming there.
