How Dacor builds its refrigerators
Most Dacor refrigerators in service now are Samsung-era built-ins: panel-ready or stainless columns that can be lined up as a refrigerator, freezer and wine unit, and built-in French-door models. Each column usually has its own evaporator and electronic control, with thermistors reporting every zone. So when the refrigerator column warms while the freezer column beside it is fine, we look only at that column's fan, defrost heater, sensor and airflow. Ice makers stop when a water valve fails or the fill line freezes. Columns sit flush with the cabinetry, so the kick grille has to stay clear, and the door hinges need to stay adjusted under a heavy custom panel or the door won't close flush.
