Viking refrigerator repair
Viking Refrigerator Repair in Maryland
We repair Viking refrigerators at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Built-in side-by-side and bottom-freezer units, panel-ready columns and some freestanding models. Grease-loaded condensers, fans, defrost faults, ice makers and door hinges are frequent work.
Booking online works too. With the Viking refrigerator's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Viking Refrigerator Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Viking service center, and not authorized by Viking. If your refrigerator is still inside the Viking warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Refrigerator Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Viking builds its refrigerators
The first question on a warm Viking built-in is how long since anyone looked behind the grille. The compressor and condenser sit in a compartment there, and with a pro-style gas range a few feet away, the coil collects a sticky layer of grease that dust clings to. A loaded condenser makes the compressor run constantly while temperatures creep up. Once the coil is clean, we test the condenser fan and the evaporator fan, then check the defrost circuit, because a failed heater or bimetal lets the coil ice solid. Door hinges and closers on tall, panel-ready doors wear too, and a door that no longer pulls itself shut invites frost. Some older Viking refrigeration parts are no longer made, so supply is confirmed before any promise.
Parts that tend to fail on Viking refrigerators
- Grease-coated condenser behind the grille
- Condenser fan seized
- Defrost heater open and coil frozen
- Door closer worn, door drifting open
- Ice maker water valve failed

Viking Refrigerator Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Most likely a dirty condenser or a stopped condenser fan. Both keep the unit from shedding heat. Cleaning the coil can solve it on its own. If the coil is clean and the fan runs, we look at defrost and airflow inside the cabinet.
Sometimes. Fans, valves and defrost components often have superseded or equivalent versions. Control boards and some ice makers don't. We check your model's parts list and tell you honestly what's available before recommending the repair.
