Roper refrigerator repair
Roper Refrigerator Repair in Maryland
We repair Roper refrigerators at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Roper top-freezer refrigerators with a single cooling coil and dial controls. Warm lower sections, chirping fans, a compressor that clicks without starting and puddles from a blocked drain are the regular complaints.
Booking online works too. With the Roper refrigerator's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Roper Refrigerator Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Roper service center, and not authorized by Roper. If your refrigerator is still inside the Roper warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Refrigerator Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
What's inside a Roper refrigerator
Roper refrigerators are almost all top-freezers, and they follow a simple airflow plan: one coil in the freezer, one fan, and a vent that lets part of the chilled air fall into the section below. A few symptoms tell most of the story. Water puddling under the crisper drawers usually means the defrost drain tube has frozen or clogged, so melt water overflows into the fresh-food section. A warm lower compartment with a cold freezer suggests the coil has frosted shut. A chirp or squeal that changes when the freezer door opens is the evaporator fan, and a click every few minutes with no hum is the compressor's start relay. The condenser underneath clogs with dust, especially where pets live. On an inexpensive refrigerator, we give an honest opinion on anything beyond these routine parts.
Parts that tend to fail on Roper refrigerators
- Water under the crispers from a clogged drain
- Frosted coil leaving the lower section warm
- Evaporator fan chirping when the door closes
- Start relay clicking, compressor not running
- Condenser underneath clogged with pet hair
Faults that show up whatever the brand are explained in our refrigerator repair overview.

Roper Refrigerator Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
The defrost drain that carries melt water to the pan underneath is probably blocked or frozen. The water overflows inside instead. Clearing the drain fixes the immediate problem; if it freezes again, a defrost part or a sealing problem needs attention.
The fan stopping when the door opens is normal on many models. The squeal isn't; it usually means the fan motor bearings are wearing or a blade is catching frost. A worn fan motor is an inexpensive part.
