Frigidaire Refrigerator Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Frigidaire service center, and not authorized by Frigidaire. If your refrigerator is still inside the Frigidaire warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Refrigerator Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Frigidaire builds its refrigerators

On many Frigidaire side-by-sides the ice maker is mounted in the freezer door itself, dropping cubes straight into the dispenser. It frees shelf space, but when cubes partly melt and refreeze, the bucket's auger locks up, and a tired door gasket lets frost grow around the ice maker. French-door models often put the ice maker in the fresh-food compartment inside an insulated box fed by its own cold-air duct; if the box leaks or the duct ices, the cubes come out in clumps. Simple top-freezers usually fail at the defrost heater or the evaporator fan. Any of them will run warm if the condenser coil underneath is buried in dust and pet hair.

Parts that tend to fail on Frigidaire refrigerators

  • Door ice maker bucket jammed
  • Auger frozen in the ice bin
  • Defrost heater failed
  • Evaporator fan motor stopped
  • Condenser coil matted with dust

Faults that show up whatever the brand are explained in our refrigerator repair overview.

FAQ

Frigidaire Refrigerator Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Usually not. Cubes melt a little, refreeze into a block and lock the auger. Pull the bucket, break up or dump the ice, and check that the freezer door seals well. If it clumps again soon, we test the ice maker, the auger motor and the gasket.

Cold air is escaping from the ice compartment or its duct, or meltwater isn't draining. We check the compartment seal, the duct and fan, and the defrost system that keeps that area clear.
