Thor Kitchen Range Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Thor Kitchen service center, and not authorized by Thor Kitchen. If your range is still inside the Thor Kitchen warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Range Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Thor Kitchen builds its ranges

Thor ranges come in widths from 30 to 48 inches, in gas, dual-fuel, electric and induction versions. On gas models, the oven igniter and the surface ignition system are the most common repairs. Convection fans get noisy as their bearings wear. The heavy oven door can loosen its hinges. A temperature sensor that has drifted makes baking unreliable. On dual-fuel models, the oven is electric and its elements can fail. These ranges are heavy, and we protect floors and check the gas connector and anti-tip bracket whenever we pull one out.

Parts that tend to fail on Thor Kitchen ranges

  • Oven igniter or element failure
  • Burner ignition trouble
  • Convection fan noisy
  • Door hinges worn
  • Temperature drifting

Faults that show up whatever the brand are explained in our range repair overview.

FAQ

Thor Kitchen Range Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Each oven has its own igniter or elements and its own sensor. The one that isn't heating has likely lost an igniter or element. We test that oven's parts and replace the one that failed.

Only as far as needed. Many repairs are done from the front. If pulling it out is unavoidable, the floor gets covered first, and we check the gas connector and the anti-tip bracket when it goes back.
