AGA range repair
AGA Range Repair in Maryland
We repair AGA ranges at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. AGA range cookers in dual-fuel, gas and induction versions with two or three ovens. Fan oven elements and motors, spark ignition, flame-failure devices, thermostats and door glass.
Booking online works too. With the AGA range's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
AGA Range Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a AGA service center, and not authorized by AGA. If your range is still inside the AGA warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Range Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How AGA builds its ranges
An AGA range cooker looks like a wide European range: two or three ovens side by side, typically one fan-assisted, one conventional and a separate grill, with gas, induction or a dual-fuel combination on top. The fan oven heats from a circular element hidden behind the back panel, blown around by a motor; if either weakens, food cooks slowly or browns on one side. Each gas burner has a flame-failure device that closes the gas when it stops sensing flame, and a burner that won't stay lit once the knob is released almost always traces to that device. Induction versions add boards and a cooling fan. These cookers weigh a great deal, so sliding one out is planned, with the floor protected and the gas or electrical connection handled carefully.
Parts that tend to fail on AGA ranges
- Fan oven element burned out
- Fan motor noisy or slow
- Spark ignition clicking nonstop
- Oven thermostat reading high
- Door glass or hinge damaged
Checks you can safely make before booking are on the range repair page for all brands.

AGA Range Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Usually the flame-failure device, a small probe that must sit in the flame and heat up to keep the valve open. Grease, a bent probe or plain wear stops it working. Cleaning and repositioning often fixes it; otherwise it's replaced.
A tired element or a slow fan motor is typical. We meter the element, watch the fan at speed and compare the real cavity temperature with the dial before ordering anything.
