Admiral Range Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Admiral service center, and not authorized by Admiral. If your range is still inside the Admiral warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Range Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
What's inside an Admiral range
Admiral's ranges are plain 30-inch freestanding models, electric or gas, with a storage drawer underneath. An electric one runs on a heavy 240-volt cord bolted to a terminal block at the back, and if one of those screws works loose, the connection heats up, scorches, and can take out every element fed by that side of the circuit. A gas model still needs a standard 120-volt outlet to run its igniters and clock, plus the gas line, which in this area is usually Washington Gas natural gas. The electronic control switches the elements through small relays, and a relay that sticks can keep an element heating after the oven is off. Because the range is freestanding, most repairs can be reached by sliding it out onto a protected floor, and when it goes back, the rear leg should lock into its anti-tip bracket.
Parts that tend to fail on Admiral ranges
- Terminal block scorched at the power cord
- Weak bake igniter on the gas model
- Relay on the control board failing
- Anti-tip bracket missing after a move
- Oven element not heating

Admiral Range Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
A 240-volt range uses two legs of power. If one leg is lost, from a tripped half of the breaker or a burned connection at the terminal block, the elements on that leg go dead. Check the breaker first; if it's fine, the terminal block and cord need inspection.
Yes. Without it, a range can tip forward if weight goes on the open oven door, for example a child climbing on it. Brackets are inexpensive and model-specific, and fitting one is a quick job while the range is out.
