Whirlpool range repair
Whirlpool Range Repair in Maryland
We repair Whirlpool ranges at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Freestanding, front-control and slide-in ranges, gas and electric. Control boards, touch panels, sensors, igniters and convection fans are typical repairs.
Booking online works too. With the Whirlpool range's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Whirlpool Range Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Whirlpool service center, and not authorized by Whirlpool. If your range is still inside the Whirlpool warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Range Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Whirlpool builds its ranges
Whirlpool's front-control and slide-in ranges put much more electronics into the same footprint as a basic stove: a main control board, a glass touch panel, and on many models a convection fan and a third element. If the oven stops heating, we still test the elements and the sensor first, because a board relay is rarely the first thing to fail. Touch panels on front-control models sit right where spills and steam land, and keys that stop responding are a common complaint. Gas versions light the oven with a glow-bar igniter, so a slow or failed bake is usually the igniter. Anything that slides in has to slide back in, so we reattach the anti-tip bracket and check the gas or power connection behind it.
Parts that tend to fail on Whirlpool ranges
- Control board relay not switching
- Touch panel keys unresponsive
- Oven igniter failing on a gas model
- Convection fan motor stalled
- Oven sensor out of range
Our range repair guide covers the problems every manufacturer shares.

Whirlpool Range Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Often, yes. On many models the touch panel is a separate part from the control board. Heat and spills wear out individual keys. We check whether the panel or the board is at fault before ordering, since the two are priced very differently.
Note the code, then shut off the breaker for a minute or so. If the same code comes back, it's telling us which circuit to test, often a sensor, an element or a door lock. Give us the code when you book so we can bring the likely part.
