Viking range repair
Viking Range Repair in Maryland
We repair Viking ranges at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. All-gas and dual-fuel ranges with convection and the Gourmet-Glo infrared broiler. Oven igniters, elements, broil burners, convection fans and door hinges head the list.
Booking online works too. With the Viking range's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Viking Range Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Viking service center, and not authorized by Viking. If your range is still inside the Viking warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Range Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Viking builds its ranges
Before anything else, we find out whether a Viking range is all-gas or dual-fuel, because the oven works differently in each. An all-gas oven lights with a glow-bar igniter and safety valve, and a slow light almost always means a tired igniter. A dual-fuel oven heats electrically, with bake and broil elements, relays and an electronic control, while the burners above stay on gas. Many Viking ranges broil with the Gourmet-Glo infrared burner, which has its own igniter and valve, and convection models add a fan and element at the back. Wider ranges hold two ovens that fail independently. Heavy doors wear their hinges, and a door that won't close fully sends heat up past the knobs.
Parts that tend to fail on Viking ranges
- Oven igniter too weak on an all-gas model
- Dual-fuel bake element open
- Gourmet-Glo broiler not igniting
- Convection motor failed
- Door hinges worn loose
Checks you can safely make before booking are on the range repair page for all brands.

Viking Range Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
The oven on a dual-fuel range runs on electricity, on its own circuit. We check the breaker, then the bake and broil elements, the sensor, the relays and the control. Working burners don't tell us much about the oven side.
Usually its igniter, which weakens with age just like the bake igniter. A valve that won't open or a cracked ceramic broil burner can also be responsible. We test the igniter's current first.
