GE Appliances range repair
GE Appliances Range Repair in Maryland
We repair GE Appliances ranges at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Freestanding, slide-in and front-control ranges in gas, electric, induction and dual-fuel. Keypads, control relays, igniters, sensors and convection fans are frequent repairs.
Booking online works too. With the GE Appliances range's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
GE Appliances Range Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a GE Appliances service center, and not authorized by GE Appliances. If your range is still inside the GE Appliances warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Range Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How GE Appliances builds its ranges
A GE, Profile or Café range is a stove with a computer attached: touch controls, Wi-Fi, convection and on newer models an air fry mode. Café also sells dual-fuel and pro-style models, some with six burners. Many GE ranges share the F3, F4 and F7 codes, pointing to sensor and keypad faults. The main control board, the keypad and the convection fan motor are the typical failures, and on gas ranges the bake igniter leads the list. Induction ranges add power boards and coils. Slide-in and front-control ranges fit tightly into the counter, so careful removal matters. When a range goes back into place after a repair, the anti-tip bracket should be engaged.
Parts that tend to fail on GE Appliances ranges
- Keypad membrane shorted (F7)
- Control board relay no longer switching
- Bake igniter weakened on gas models
- Convection fan motor seized
- Oven temperature sensor open (F3)
Checks you can safely make before booking are on the range repair page for all brands.

GE Appliances Range Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
F7 means the control thinks a key is stuck. Moisture, a spill or wear on the keypad membrane can cause it. Usually the keypad is replaced, and sometimes the control is involved.
Not much. Café shares a lot with GE Profile, and many parts cross over. Some Café-only parts, like certain trim, knobs or specialty burners, can take longer to arrive.
