Thor Kitchen Cooktop Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Thor Kitchen service center, and not authorized by Thor Kitchen. If your cooktop is still inside the Thor Kitchen warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Thor Kitchen builds its cooktops

Thor sells gas rangetops and cooktops as well as induction cooktops. Gas models have sealed burners with spark igniters, and a spill that soaks the igniter or the spark switch will keep it clicking. A burner that doesn't light may have a clogged port or a misaligned cap. A weak flame usually means clogged ports. Induction models can cut out when the cooling fan fails or the cooktop overheats. Knobs on heavy pro-style tops can loosen, or the valve stems can get stiff.

Parts that tend to fail on Thor Kitchen cooktops

  • Igniter clicking nonstop
  • Burner not lighting
  • Weak flame from clogged ports
  • Induction zone shutting off
  • Knob loose or valve stiff

Our cooktop repair guide covers the problems every manufacturer shares.

FAQ

Thor Kitchen Cooktop Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Turn it off and let it dry. Clean the burner ports and make sure the cap is centered. If it still won't light, the igniter may be cracked or wet, and we test it.

It may be overheating because the cooling fan isn't running or the air vents under the cooktop are blocked. We check the fan and the airflow.
