Avanti Cooktop Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Avanti service center, and not authorized by Avanti. If your cooktop is still inside the Avanti warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

What's inside an Avanti cooktop

Avanti cooktops are small two- and four-burner units made for short counters, in-law suites and efficiency kitchens. Gas versions use sealed burners with spark ignition, so a burner that clicks but will not catch is usually wet after a boil-over, blocked at the ports, or wearing its cap crooked. Coil electric versions rely on plug-in elements, their receptacles and the infinite switches behind each knob, and a scorched receptacle can make a healthy coil look dead. Glass radiant tops add ribbon elements and high-temperature limiters. Because these units drop into narrow cutouts, the gas flex line or the wiring box beneath is often squeezed, and we look at those connections while we are in there.

Parts that tend to fail on Avanti cooktops

  • Igniter soaked after a boil-over
  • Coil receptacle scorched and loose
  • Infinite switch stuck on high
  • Burner cap seated off-center
  • Radiant element with no glow

Checks you can safely make before booking are on the cooktop repair page for all brands.

FAQ

Avanti Cooktop Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Sometimes, but the receptacle it plugs into is the more common failure. Heat pits the contacts until the connection turns intermittent. We usually replace the receptacle and the coil together, since a burned coil terminal will damage a fresh receptacle.

Probably not. Water in the igniter or a cap put back slightly off its seat is the typical cause. Let it dry for a few hours, clean the ports gently with a pin and set the cap flat. If it still only clicks, we test the igniter and spark switch.
