Bosch cooktop repair
Bosch Cooktop Repair in Maryland
We repair Bosch cooktops at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Induction, gas and radiant cooktops in 30- and 36-inch widths. Induction power boards, the cooling fan beneath, spark modules and electrodes, and touch controls fail most.
Booking online works too. With the Bosch cooktop's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Bosch Cooktop Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Bosch service center, and not authorized by Bosch. If your cooktop is still inside the Bosch warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Bosch builds its cooktops
Bosch induction tops sit on a set of power boards, and those boards are cooled by a fan that breathes from the cabinet below. That is the detail owners miss. Fill the drawer under the cooktop to the brim, or install it over an oven without the required gap, and zones start dropping out on long cooking sessions. A pan that won't hold a magnet does nothing at all, and the display shows its no-cookware symbol. On gas models, each burner has a spark electrode fed by a module, and one that is wet or crusted ticks endlessly. Radiant models use elements under the glass. Touch controls can misread when wet or greasy, so the surface is cleaned and dried before testing begins.
Parts that tend to fail on Bosch cooktops
- Induction zone not detecting cookware
- Cooling fan under the cooktop failed
- Power board overheating
- Gas electrode ticking constantly
- Touch controls unresponsive

Bosch Cooktop Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Unlikely. The fault is usually in that zone's power board or the wiring to its coil, and sometimes the pan simply isn't magnetic enough. A pan we know works is the first test; then the board and coil.
It may be guarding against heat. Make sure the cabinet below has the air gap the installation guide calls for. If it keeps happening, the fan under the unit or one of its heat sensors is the next suspect.
