Amana Cooktop Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Amana service center, and not authorized by Amana. If your cooktop is still inside the Amana warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

What's inside an Amana cooktop

The cooktop on an Amana is usually the top of a range: coil electric, radiant glass or sealed gas burners. On coil models, the receptacle the element plugs into can burn, so an element works intermittently or not at all. The infinite switch behind a knob can fail and give full heat or none. Radiant glass tops use ribbon elements that can burn out. On gas, spark switches get wet and click, and a burner cap out of position gives a bad flame. These are simple, inexpensive repairs on a simple appliance.

Parts that tend to fail on Amana cooktops

  • Coil receptacle burned
  • Infinite switch failing
  • Radiant element not heating
  • Spark switch wet and clicking
  • Burner cap out of position

FAQ

Amana Cooktop Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

The receptacle it plugs into is probably burned or loose. Wiggling makes a temporary contact. We replace the receptacle, and the element too if its terminals are pitted.

Water may have reached a spark switch or an igniter. Let it dry for a few hours with the knobs removed. If it still clicks, the spark switch needs replacing.
