JennAir cooktop repair
JennAir Cooktop Repair in Maryland
We repair JennAir cooktops at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Downdraft, gas, radiant and induction cooktops. Weak downdraft blowers, greasy filters, pop-up vents that won't rise, spark ignition and induction power boards.
Booking online works too. With the JennAir cooktop's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
JennAir Cooktop Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a JennAir service center, and not authorized by JennAir. If your cooktop is still inside the JennAir warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How JennAir builds its cooktops
The downdraft cooktop is JennAir's signature. Air is pulled down through a slot in or behind the cooking surface, through a grease filter, past a blower in the cabinet below and out through ductwork. When suction fades, check in the order the air travels: the filter, then the blower, then the duct and the flap at the outside wall. Some models hide the vent in a rear tower that rises out of the counter on a motor and stops when switches tell it to. Beyond the vent, each cooktop type brings its usual suspects. Gas has spark electrodes and switches. Radiant has elements and controls under the glass. Induction has power boards and a fan to cool them. Across all of them, years of cooking grease coat blowers, filters and switches and slowly wear them down.
Parts that tend to fail on JennAir cooktops
- Downdraft blower motor weak
- Grease filter saturated
- Pop-up vent lift motor stalled
- Spark electrode cracked
- Radiant element or induction board failed
Faults that show up whatever the brand are explained in our cooktop repair overview.

JennAir Cooktop Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Downdrafts capture best from pots near the vent, so tall pots on far burners are always harder. If capture has gotten worse, clean or replace the filter, then we check the blower speed, the duct run and the exterior flap for restrictions.
Yes. The rising vent is driven by a small motor through gears, and limit switches tell it when to stop. A worn motor, a bad switch or debris in its path will stall it partway. We clean and test the mechanism and replace the failed part.
