Blomberg Cooktop Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Blomberg service center, and not authorized by Blomberg. If your cooktop is still inside the Blomberg warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Blomberg builds its cooktops
Blomberg sells sealed-burner gas cooktops with electronic spark ignition, plus induction and radiant electric models. On the gas side, a burner that sparks but never lights typically has a wet or dirty electrode, a cap sitting crooked, or ports blocked by boiled-over food. Nonstop clicking after a spill is usually a spark switch that got wet and is stuck closed. Induction tops work by driving a magnetic coil under each zone from a power board, and all that electronics needs a cooling fan and room to breathe. With dust on that fan, or a drawer base with no air gap underneath, the cooktop throttles power or shuts down. Radiant tops use ribbon elements with a limiter that can fail. Replacement glass is often sold only as a full top assembly with its frame.
Parts that tend to fail on Blomberg cooktops
- Electrode fouled by a boil-over
- Wet spark switch clicking nonstop
- Induction zone ignoring the pan
- Induction cooling fan choked with dust
- Radiant element limiter failed

Blomberg Cooktop Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Test the pan with a magnet and try one that covers the zone well, because small or non-magnetic pans aren't detected. If a pan the other zones accept still isn't recognized on that one, we test the coil and the power board that drives it.
Water or cleaner has probably reached a spark switch behind the knob, or an electrode is still damp. Let it dry for several hours with the knobs off. If it keeps clicking once it is dry, the switch has to be replaced.
