Electrolux cooktop repair
Electrolux Cooktop Repair in Maryland
We repair Electrolux cooktops at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Gas, radiant and induction cooktops. Burners that won't light or won't stop sparking, cold radiant zones, induction zones that shut down, noisy fans under the glass and cracked tops.
Booking online works too. With the Electrolux cooktop's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Electrolux Cooktop Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Electrolux service center, and not authorized by Electrolux. If your cooktop is still inside the Electrolux warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Electrolux builds its cooktops
Electrolux sells cooktops in three technologies that share a look and little else. On gas, the burners are sealed and lit by a spark module, and nearly every complaint is ignition: no spark, a spark that won't quit after a pot boiled over, or a flame starved by food in the ports. On radiant electric, coiled ribbon heaters sit under the ceramic glass, each fed by a knob switch or touch control and protected by a thermal cutout that trips when the glass overheats. On induction, coils under the glass make the pan itself heat, driven by power electronics that need a working cooling fan; a pan a magnet won't stick to gets no response at all. Heavy objects dropped on either electric type can crack the glass. Tell us the model and fuel type when you book, and the visit starts with the right tests.
Parts that tend to fail on Electrolux cooktops
- Spark switch shorted by a boil-over
- Radiant ribbon element open
- Induction power board failing
- Cooling fan under the glass noisy
- Ceramic glass cracked
Our cooktop repair guide covers the problems every manufacturer shares.

Electrolux Cooktop Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Start with the pan: a fridge magnet should grip its base firmly, and the pan should cover most of the ring marked on the glass. If a suitable pan still won't heat, the zone's coil, the pan sensing circuit or the power board may have failed, and we test them.
Sometimes. Cracked glass can't be patched, and on many models the glass comes as an assembly with the frame or even the elements, so the part can be significant. We look up exactly what the replacement includes so you can compare it against a new cooktop.
