Fisher & Paykel Cooktop Repair in Maryland
We repair Fisher & Paykel cooktops at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Gas, induction and radiant electric cooktops, plus rangetops. Spark ignition, induction power boards, cooling fans, radiant elements and touch controls are common.
Booking online works too. With the Fisher & Paykel cooktop's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Fisher & Paykel Cooktop Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Fisher & Paykel service center, and not authorized by Fisher & Paykel. If your cooktop is still inside the Fisher & Paykel warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Fisher & Paykel builds its cooktops
What goes wrong on a Fisher & Paykel cooktop depends on its fuel. On gas models the burners are sealed and spark-lit, and many relight a burner automatically if a draft or boil-over snuffs it. Induction models put copper coils and power boards under the glass, plus a fan whose whole job is keeping those boards from cooking themselves, and touch controls that react badly to wet fingers or a pot handle resting on them. Radiant models heat through elements with a temperature limiter under each zone. Typical symptoms follow suit: endless ticking or no flame at all on gas, a zone that cuts out or flashes on induction, a zone that stays cold on radiant. A drawer packed tight under an induction top can starve it of air on its own.

Fisher & Paykel Cooktop Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Induction boards produce heat and need airflow underneath. If the cooling fan has stopped or the cabinet below is crammed, the cooktop protects itself by shutting zones down. A pan that isn't magnetic enough can also trigger an error. We check the fan and ventilation, then the boards.
Many models detect a lost flame and spark again automatically. If a burner clicks repeatedly while lit, the electrode may be dirty, the cap may be out of position or the flame may not be reaching the sensor. Clean and reseat the cap first.
