Admiral Cooktop Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Admiral service center, and not authorized by Admiral. If your cooktop is still inside the Admiral warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

What's inside an Admiral cooktop

Admiral range tops come three ways: plug-in coils, a smooth glass top, or open gas burners. On coil tops the weak spot is where the element plugs in. A loose fit arcs, blackens the receptacle and eventually ruins it, and a brand-new coil pushed into that burned socket soon fails too, which is why the two are usually replaced as a pair. The knob for each electric burner turns a switch that pulses power on and off to hold a setting, and those switches can weld on high or go dead. Glass tops hide ribbon elements that can open or lose their overheat limiter. On gas models, all the igniters share one spark module, so a boil-over that soaks one knob switch can leave the whole top ticking. We dry, clean and test before ordering a module.

Parts that tend to fail on Admiral cooktops

  • Coil receptacle arced and burned
  • Infinite switch stuck on high
  • Radiant element under glass not heating
  • Spark igniter ticking without end
  • Burner ports clogged from boil-overs

FAQ

Admiral Cooktop Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

The element terminals or the receptacle they plug into have burned and lost contact. Replacing only the element usually doesn't last, since the damaged receptacle burns the new one. Both are typically replaced together.

No, that's how the system works: all igniters spark when any burner is set to light. It's a problem only if the clicking continues after the burner is lit and turned to a cooking setting.
