LG Cooktop Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a LG service center, and not authorized by LG. If your cooktop is still inside the LG warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Cooktop Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How LG builds its cooktops

LG cooktops come in induction, radiant glass and gas. On induction models, fan-cooled power boards energize the coils beneath the glass, and a hot cabinet, a failing fan or a pan that isn't magnetic enough can make a zone cut out mid-cook. On radiant tops, a dead zone traces to the ribbon element, its switch or touch control, or a scorched terminal; the hot-surface light is part of the same circuit. Gas tops use sealed burners with spark ignition, and a pot that boils over into the burner base leaves them clicking and slow to catch. Cracked glass is replaced as a whole top assembly. When a cooktop has been fitted into an older kitchen, the supply wiring and junction box get checked too.

Parts that tend to fail on LG cooktops

  • Induction zone cutting out mid-cook
  • Induction power board failed
  • Radiant element open
  • Burner igniter wet or cracked
  • Cracked glass top

FAQ

LG Cooktop Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

The pan may be too small or not magnetic enough to register, or the unit may be overheating from a weak cooling fan or a stuffed cabinet below. When pan and airflow check out, the coil and power board are tested.

On most models the glass comes bonded to a top assembly, so that assembly is what gets priced. Pricing it for your exact model lets you weigh it against a new cooktop.
