Smeg dishwasher repair
Smeg Dishwasher Repair in Maryland
We repair Smeg dishwashers at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Freestanding, built-in and fully integrated dishwashers. Clogged filters, anti-flood shutoffs, inlet valves, door hinge springs and heating faults come up most.
Booking online works too. With the Smeg dishwasher's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Smeg Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Smeg service center, and not authorized by Smeg. If your dishwasher is still inside the Smeg warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Smeg builds its dishwashers
Smeg dishwashers follow European design. A filter in the base of the tub has to be cleaned by hand, and if it isn't, water drains slowly and the wash gets worse. An anti-flood float in the base pan stops the machine if water leaks there, so an error or a machine that won't start can point to a hidden leak. The drain pump can fail. On fully integrated models, the door carries a cabinet panel, and the hinge springs wear under that weight until the door drops open. The heating element can fail and leave the water cold. Mineral scale builds up over time and can affect the heater and the spray arms.
Parts that tend to fail on Smeg dishwashers
- Filter clogged, slow draining
- Anti-flood float tripped by a leak
- Drain pump failing
- Hinge spring worn under a panel
- Heating element not warming water

Smeg Dishwasher Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
The error means there is water sitting in the tray under the tub, enough to raise the safety float. It came from somewhere inside: a door seal, a hose clamp, the pump housing. We trace it, repair it, and empty and dry the tray, since the float stays tripped until it does.
The hinge springs are set for a particular panel weight, and they wear over time. We replace or adjust them so the door balances properly with its panel.
