LG Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a LG service center, and not authorized by LG. If your dishwasher is still inside the LG warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How LG builds its dishwashers

LG dishwashers spin their spray arms with a direct-drive wash motor, and QuadWash models add arms that rotate in more than one direction. The display does much of the early work. AE or E1 means water has reached the leak sensor in the base, OE is a drain problem, IE a fill problem, HE the heater circuit and LE the wash motor. A leak code starts a search: door gaskets, overflowing suds from the wrong detergent and loose fittings under the tub are the usual sources. Poor draining traces first to the filter, then to the hose, and on new installs to a disposal still sealed by its factory plug. TrueSteam models have a steam generator as well. Scale from WSSC tap water accumulates on the heater and spray arm holes over the years.

Parts that tend to fail on LG dishwashers

  • Leak sensor tripped (AE)
  • Filter or drain pump clogged (OE)
  • Water not filling (IE)
  • Heater circuit fault (HE)
  • Spray arm holes scaled

Checks you can safely make before booking are on the dishwasher repair page for all brands.

FAQ

LG Dishwasher Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Switch it off and soak up any water you can see. Suds from hand dishwashing liquid can overflow and set it off. A genuine leak can too. We find where the water came from before the code is cleared.

Possibly. If it drains into a garbage disposal, the disposal's inlet has a knockout plug that must be punched out, and a kinked drain hose is the other usual slip. With both ruled out, the pump gets tested.
